tHE bATTERY mEN [dEVELOPMENT]

Battery Men, is a musical comedy horror set in very familiar surroundings. Using film, music, photography and theatre this piece explores the societal connection between industrial farming and toxic masculinity. 

Taking cues from Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’, post modern nihilism (nothing matters) and very personal experience the story will be told using familiar horror tropes all tied together with discomfiting comedy. 

We are making use of various terrifying locations in the Denmark area to run a series of filming days and photo shoots that include many members of the local community. 

We will share our development of the project at this Brave New Works in the form of an installation and hope to whet your appetite to come and see the completed show sometime next year...
