String & Bone combine thought-provoking lyrics, vocal harmonies with a folk-funk-bluegrass-country-fusion groove. Quirky, funny, heartfelt and always interesting. Bethwyn's powerful voice and emotive lyrics capture the audience and invoke a feeling of connection, understanding, compassion and joy.

About the event

String & Bone are quirky, funny, heartfelt and always interesting, they will leave you with happy ears, a warm feeling in your belly and catchy earworms rolling around in your brain long after the performance echoes fade away

Members Karri Meredith-Harper trained as a jazz trombone player but he also plays a cheap plastic melodica and psychedelic synth.

Alex Hey is a classically trained musician with a folk music heart. He brings rumbling bass vocals, funky cello riffs and sizzling lap-stee slide.

Tim Darby, a prolific song writer, has been shortlisted for WAM and ASA Song Of The Year. Tim won second place in 2024 Australian Songwriters Association (Novelty/Comedy Category).


Born and raised in Bridgetown WA, Bethwyn Marie has been part of the musical world since her early teens. Bethwyn weaves stories of love, connection to nature, heart break, and challenges through her songs. Her eclectic taste in music shows…
