About the event
Step into a mythic world where storms rise, gods meddle, and one man fights to find his way home. In this richly told, deeply human retelling of Homer’s Odyssey, Jeff Atkinson and Simeon Ayres weave story, poetry and humour into a tale that speaks directly to our own war‑torn, fast‑moving age. With musical and choral accompaniment by Ashley Schipp and creative direction by Silvia Lehmann, this performance explores longing, belonging, and the quiet, small moments that tether us to the places and people we call home.
Drawing from ancient myth and modern ache, The Odyssey invites audiences to reflect on connection, displacement, and the search for meaning in a world that often feels unmoored. It’s a story for now - intimate, resonant, and full of heart.
A small window into an epic world - join us and be carried home by the tale.
