About the event
Start Brave New Works #32 with an evening that celebrates the beauty of the small. The tiny sparks, quiet gestures, and everyday wonders that make life (and art) extraordinary. This seated, stay‑for‑the‑ride event brings together some of BNW’s wonderful artists for a playful, heartfelt, creatively curious launch.
We begin with our free Festival Opening outside the Civic Centre:
5pm Opening Ceremony and Welcome to Country Outdoors
Two or More - Myla Rose Bracknell A pop‑up contact‑improv dance work that slips movement into the everyday. With improvised musicians in the mix, this piece responds to place, people, and the small surprises of the moment.
Ticketed show, Civic Centre doors open 5.45pm:
Excerpts of Echoes of Fern Gully - Tamsyn Heynes A tender Eco‑Ballet exploring the overlooked micro‑worlds of nature. Seeds, insects, forest‑floor mysteries - inviting audiences to slow down and look closer.
