Denmark Arts has partnered with Varuna, The National Writer’s House, to create a Writers Fellowship.

The shortlist and winner of the Denmark Arts Varuna Writers Fellowship for writers in the Great Southern was announced at a gathering at Denmark Arts last week.

Four writers were shortlisted: Linda Bradbury, Patricia Gill, Renee Pettit-Schipp and an Anonymous author.

The winner was Renee Pettit-Schipp who will receive a two week residency at the prestigious Varuna National Writer’s Centre in the Blue Mountains. Renee will also receive a travel stipend and costs from Denmark Arts.

This is the inaugural Writers Fellowship, which saw 16 entries from throughout the region.
