THE 14TH TALE (GREAT SOUTHERN)
Written and performed by Inua Ellams
The 14th Tale is a free-flowing narrative that tells the hilarious exploits of a mischief maker who grew up on the clay streets of Nigeria, the rooftops of Dublin and finally landed in London. Inua vividly recreates the characters that punctuated his upbringing in deft and beautiful poetry, while exploring what it is to be a young, black male in London today.

BLOODY HIPPIES (GREAT SOUTHERN)
Including ABC Open shorts
Albany's Pepperjacks, a four-piece acoustic ensemble of accomplished musicians will take you back to a time when the hippies first hit the streets of Denmark with their 'arty ideas' and 'greenie' philosophies. With their infectious music and original arrangements, they will perform excerpts from the film, Bloody Hippies, and set the scene for this revealing documentary.
From 'hippy-dom' to some of the most influential community and business leaders of the region, director Valeska Wood reveals these true local stories with humour and heart.
Prior to the feature a short film made by community filmmakers in conjunction with ABC Open will be screened. Join ABC Open producer Suzannah Lyons as she presents work from local film makers. ABC Open is an exciting new way for regional communities to connect and share stories through the ABC. What’s Your Story?
