River Children
The River Children play a soulful and passionate mix of original and classic songs with acoustic styles ranging from Folk and Roots to Jazz’n’blues and Reggae.
The River Children are:
Katie J White – Vocals, Guitar and Double Bass, and;
David Rastrick – Vocals, Cornet, Guitar and Double Bass.
The River Children have been heard in the south-west from Denmark and Albany to Margaret River.
Some highlights include theBridgetown Blues festival (Albany Blues Club stage), Mamakin support at West Cape Howe winery, and Margaret River Wine Festival 2010 supporting Darryl Braithwaite and Jon Stevens (Noiseworks, Jesus Christ Superstar, INX).
Katie J White recently starred at the Denmark Festival of Voice 2010 – performing with Grace Barbe, Joe Williams, Moondog J, David Rastrick plus members of Odd Sock and Dya Singh.
The River Children concerts have featured performances from special guests such as: Tony King (Blue Manna/Midnight Mahina/Odd Sock); Jude Iddison (Midnight Mahina/Odd Sock); Rob Hirst (Midnight Oil); Laura the Mermaid; Deb Stitt; Amy Hastie, and; James Gentle (Hedge Bandits/Junkadelic).
