Moodswingz play original and classic music for dancing - Jazz, Reggae, Funk and more...

Formed in October 2008 the group has supported Directions In Groove (DIG), Nic Conway. Bob Malone, Danny Moss Trio (with Elle Deslandes), Pugsley Buzzard. Moodswingz play south-west venues and events including regular gigs at the Denmark Hotel.

The band plays a mix of original songs and choice jazz, reggae, soul, ska and funk classics.

Moodswingz are:
David Rastrick – Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Vocals and Guitar;
Joel Barter – Drum-kit, Percussion and Vocals;
Colin Reeves – Electric Guitar and Vocals, and;
Various Bass Players - including Mark Tupman, Les Karski and Grant Moulden.

Special guests have included: Simone Keane, KatieJ White, Deb Stitt and Jemma – Vocals; Evan Holmes – Saxophone and Flute, and Luke Gaudry – Keyboards.

Moodswingz members have played with each over the years in many local bands such as: Midnight Mahina; Freedom Police; Shapeshifters; The Juice, and; The Fungals.

The band looks forward to playing quality dance music together for new and established audiences.
